Product Selection

Size and Measurements

For each of our garments we have displayed the product size information that we receive from the manufacturer. As is normal practice, sizes are specified on a ‘to fit’ basis. A 38” chest means that the item is designed to fit a person with a 38” chest so the actual size of the garment will be larger than this.

For each of our garments the associated product description outlines the fabric composition, design details, available colours and sizes.

Printing

Printing Method

We print onto garments using the latest digital garment printing technology. We print directly onto the garments and do not use transfers.

Printing on Coloured Garments

We can print on white and coloured garments equally successfully. The process for printing an image onto coloured garments first requires the laying down of a precise white background which is then overprinted with colour. This additional process is why printing on coloured garments is always a little more expensive than printing on white garments.

Printing Restrictions

Please note that we cannot print over zips, seams or pockets and the maximum size of image we can reproduce is 35 x 40 cm. We cannot illustrate every size of every garment so the design that you send to us is not an exact size and will look proportionally different on a SMALL v’s XXL t-shirt. The objective of our easy-to-use editor is to give ORIGINAL T a clear idea of your intention in terms of size, position and proportion of your design. We will try our best to interpret your ideas but if you send us something that we are not clear about we might need to email or call you for clarification.

We print what you send us to print

While all garments will be visually inspected for quality we will print what you ask us to print. If you make a mistake and specify say black text on a black t-shirt, it will be printed and we are unlikely to notice the problem during our visual check. We cannot accept returns of items due to mistakes made by you when using the design editor tool.

Colour Accuracy

Our printing process prints the colours you send us as accurately as possible, but we cannot guarantee that the true printed colour will be exactly the same as the colour you see on your computer screen. This is because different monitors represent colours differently and also individual screen settings such as brightness, colour intensity and contrast affect the screen appearance of different colours.

Punctuation Marks

Please be aware that some fonts do not print punctuation marks and instead insert a square symbol. If you don’t spot these symbols and delete them, then they will be printed. If you need punctuation that is not available in certain fonts please change the font style. We cannot accept returns of items due to typographical mistakes made by you when using the design editor tool.

Image Size

Our maximum print area is a whopping 35cm x 40cm vertical image. This is actually larger than the printable area available on some garment styles.

Image Quality

If you upload a low resolution image (say less than 600×600 pixels) it is likely to look pixelated when printed, despite looking fine on your computer screen. We print what you send us. If you send a low res image and it pixelates, we will assume that is the effect you desire. We cannot accept returns of items due to the uploading of poor quality images.

Copyright

You can only upload an image/slogan for printing onto a garment if you own, or have created, the image/slogan, or have permission to use it from the person who holds the intellectual property rights in such image/slogan.

Before uploading an image you will be asked to confirm that you have the legal right to use the image and that you indemnify ORIGINAL T SHIRTS LTD against any claims which may arise in relation to the printing of your uploaded image.

Orders

Processing of Orders

When we have accepted your order following payment we will email you an Order Confirmation summarising details of your order and price, including delivery cost. This Order Confirmation will be followed up with an emailed Order Update confirming that your order has been dispatched.

Order History

Registered customers can find a summary of all previous orders under My Account.

Changing or Cancelling an Order

Orders can be cancelled only up to the point when the order has started to be processed, after that point changes are not possible. To cancel an existing unprocessed order please email or call us with instructions. The easiest way to edit an existing unprocessed order is to cancel the order in question and resubmit an edited order as a new order.

Volume/Bulk Discounts

For orders in excess of 10 repeat items please contact us to get a quotation for volume discount.

Payment

Payment Methods

ORIGINAL-T currently only accepts orders for delivery to the United Kingdom and Ireland. Your credit or debit card will automatically be charged by Stripe, our Payment Gateway service provider.  Your order will be confirmed once payment verification has been completed.

Redeeming Vouchers

ORIGINAL-T issues Gift Certificates in association with its product ‘Original Gifts’ and these vouchers can be redeemed against the cost of future orders. Purchasing an Original Gift allows a customer to buy any uncustomised garment and prepay for its customisation by others. Once purchased, the customer receives a unique Gift Certificate Code which can be issued to their recipient of choice. The recipient can then customise their gifted garment, add to basket and checkout. At checkout the voucher is redeemed by entering the gift code into the Gift Certificate Box. The Gift Certificate can be used up to its full value which is deducted from the recipient’s final bill, in many cases fully paying for the customised garment. The transaction is then concluded in the normal way.

Dispatch and Delivery

Delivery Costs

Standard delivery within the UK is based on Royal Mail Standard First Class, Second Class or Special Delivery.

Delivery Times

Royal Mail First Class Delivery aims to deliver your item the next working day, including Saturday. Guaranteed Special Delivery options are available during checkout at additional cost. . Delivery times are beyond our control and cannot be guaranteed unless an Special Delivery service is selected.

Special Delivery

Royal Mail Guaranteed Next Day Delivery Services (before 1.00pm) start at £5.90 with additional surcharges for delivery before 9am or on Saturdays.

Order Processing and Dispatch

Do not be fooled by false promises of same day dispatch. These promises tend to be qualified with the rider that they only apply to stock items and generally, surprise, surprise, your specified items never seem to be in stock! We prefer to make you the honest promise that, except in situations of genuine supply difficulties, we will aim to dispatch your order within 2 working days of confirmation of orders received before 2pm Monday-Thursday. Often the item will be posted next day; very rarely would we be able to dispatch the same day.

Lost Order

Royal Mail aim to deliver First Class Mail the next day within the UK and Second Class Mail within 3 working days.  However, when things go wrong, they have been known to take much longer.  Please allow up to 14 days from receipt of confirmation of dispatch before contacting us about non delivery of an order.  We would not be able to re-process the order before this time period had elapsed.
